Samin Mirdavoudi, (b. 1991, Tehran, Iran) is a multidisciplinary artist who chooses strings as a medium that guide her towards solving various interpretations by making art pieces that represent different concepts through creating: shapes, patterns, and textures. Her most notable collection, ‘I am a woman’, explores the themes of identity, femininity and empowerment through innovative combinations of string art and oil painting. She has recently been inspired by the topic of time and the revival of forgotten and hidden concepts. Her art has been exhibited in various galleries and art fairs, and has received positive feedback from critics and audiences alike. She also offers custom-made string art pieces for interior-exterior design and installations as a collection called ‘Mega threaded creatures’, using unique and rare threads of Persian textiles and crafts.
